An active autumn in Aalto Protomo Helsinki

Aalto Protomo Helsinki starts its autumn season strongly. – Our first sales training session takes place on Wednesday 14^th August. And in this event there are three teams from Aalto Protomo Espoo and the same amount of presenters are from Helsinki Protomo. This is the first common training afternoon and we have a complete development program for all Protomo-members in the autumn. Our aim with Marja Juvakoski is to network the people with each other and create stronger teams with co-operation, Seppo Rantalainen describes the just started autumn activities.
-We have in Aalto Protomo Helsinki 43 teams and +100 people working with their business ideas. There are many really promising it-services and applications which need, naturally, a lot of work but some support, too. The biggest obstacle is the funding, naturally, but we have succeeded to open the financing from Ely-keskus. With their money the teams can build their first versions or make a deeper market analysis. Both of these activities are crucial in this development phase where our teams mainly are.
-Aalto Protomo Helsinki has had challenges in getting skillful programmers and developers working for the projects we have in. It is natural that people are not willing to join in teams without any immediate compensations and salaries. But still, the projects can be part-time working and the prize with a successful venture can be remarkable in the long run. The professional, especially young software developers can do exactly what they have studied and learned. It is very essential in their future, Rantalainen tells about the problems.

“Ovet auki kasvulle”-seminar in September
Aalto Protomo Helsinki arranges together with Aalto Start-Up Center business incubator a high quality seminar. The day is 12^th September and we start at 04.00 pm in Salmisaari, Energiakuja 3. The key note speaker is Mr Kyösti Kakkonen, a serious entrepreneur with the really impressive business history. Mr Kakkonen has created and grown Tokmanni-retail chain as a remarkable company in Finland. He sold it and now he has focused on investing in start-up firms with a strong business potential and global market view.
